The objective of this course is to present a standard audit report and concentrate on the theory behind some of the different kinds of modified reports in existing and new standards, as well as practical issues relating to reporting problems common to smaller audits.

Learning Objectives:

• Understand practical auditing issues affecting auditors’ reports.
• Prepare standard and modified audit reports that comply with the Clarified Auditing Standards, currently and when SAS No. 134 becomes effective.
• Understand the basic changes in SAS No. 134.
• Determine when audit report modifications are necessary and how to apply the standards (AU-C Sections 705 and 706.
