Performing Review Engagements

Course Description:

An overview of the requirements from SSARS No. 21 in section AR-C 90 of the AICPA Professional Standards, as well as other sections of the SSARS literature is discussed in these materials. Specific application guidance for some of the SSARS requirements for review engagements is also included. SSARS No. 21 is effective for periods ending on or after December 15, 2015 with earlier application permitted.

• Develop effective and efficient review engagement performance methods
• Demonstrate how to apply professional judgment on review engagements
• Recognize and minimize the impact of engagement risks and materiality on inquiries, analytical procedures and other substantive procedures
